Why does the brake keep locking up? I have performed multiple spin down calibrations.

Dear Administrator,

I've successfully created and completed numerous workouts on the WahooKickr but today when I try to perform a workout the brake keeps locking for the following types of intervals:
1). The interval to be performed has nothing specified except for a Description and Time
2). The interval to be performed has a Wattage Zone specified.

To remove ambiguity, when I specify the exact wattage or percentage of FTP the resistance works perfectly.

The specific workout I am trying to complete is title "Oxygen Deficit Intervals".

Lastly, I was searching the internet to see if others have had this problem and came across this forum, where someone has experienced the same issue when using iMobileInterval, which is why I am writing to you so see if you can provide me some direction.

Resolved... for now

For some reason the problem no longer exists. Here's what I did:
1). Disconnected the power supply to the WahooKickr
2). Turned Bluetooth off on my phone
3). Closed all the Apps on my phone
4). Turned my phone to Airport Mode
5). With the WahooKickr still un-powered, I spun through all the gears, getting all the way to the hardest gear and really gave it a good rip
6). Reconnected the power supply to the WahooKickr
7). Turned Bluetooth on but left Airport Mode on as well
8). Went straight to the iMi App and performed a spin down
9). Performed the Oxygen Deficit Interval workout
10). Laid down on the ground for a bit and when I regained consciousness I typed this note to you.

I'm not sure what step actually resolved the problem but at least it no longer exists and you're able to provide this information to other users if they contact you regarding the same issue.

Kind regards,
Alan

too much resistance

Lol. Sounds like some kind of problem on the KICKR that was ultimately corrected by the spin down.

I'll just put it out there, since others might find this thread looking for a solution to this sort of thing, that you might check that you aren't doing a intervals with fixed erg values but the workout set to be FTP based values. So, if you had 300 watts set on an interval, it would think it meant 300% of FTP, which would definitely feel wrong.

Also, if the FTP is misconfigured, you might get similar problems.
