power2max doesn't work with Wahoo (and iMI)

Tested today Wahoo with my P2M, it doesn't work. I have notified to Wahoo.

I have a Kickr, P2Max,

I have a Kickr, P2Max, HR(ANt+) and join using the Wahoo ANt+ key to an iPhone 4s.

I can join to all three devices with both the Wahoo fitness app and iMi.

Wahoo fitness app shows the P2M as 'Bike Power' and displays cadence and power.

When I join the three devices to iMi I am having trouble though. I wish to have the Kickr Power, HR and the cadence from the P2M ( I don't really need the power as well from P2M). I can only pick up the P2M as a 'power meter' but then I seem to have conflicts with the Kickr readings.

Am I missing something here?

P2M

That's correct that the P2M should be connected at a Powermeter; you cannot connect it under "cadence sensors".

You *should* be able to get the cadence from the P2M while using the KICKR. This has been tested with Quarq, SRM and Stages (BTLE). I've never actually had a P2M to test. Do you read the cadence OK with iMi when not on the KICKR? You are getting the KICKR power ok? When on the KICKR iMi should only take the P2M power if you select that in the app settings.

I removed both the P2M and

I removed both the P2M and the Kickr connections in iMi and started again. Adding just the P2M (as a power meter) let me pick up the power, cadence and kept the HR. Adding the Kickr after this seemed to do the trick i.e. power, cadence and HR all work.

Can you confirm the 'Prefer Powermeter Watts' setting under Kickr config means that the Kickr values are used if the switch is greyed out i.e. not green.

P2M

Correct, turn the switch ON if you want to show/record the power meter watts, not the KICKR watts.

P2M

I have spent some more time playing around with the setup as above. I created a 'Test' workout this morning and it has logged the cadence, HR and power (kickr) correctly. However the display on iMi on the iPhone, whilst in the workout shows nothing (blank) in the cadence box (white area). After a while the black section starts to display a value (60s average?). The power figure displayed also seems to be incorrect i.e. low.

When the 'prefer power meter watts' is turned on the cadence and power meter figures populate correctly with real time data.

P2M

Further to above:
the instantaneous power figure displayed in the white section seems to be exactly 1/3 of the real value (compared to P2M\Edge 500 readout) i.e. reads 50W when Kickr is on 150W ERG (Kickr is being given the correct readings though).

Cadence stays blank at all times.

Output file from the workout has correct HR, cadence and power logged.

KICKR, P2M

Thanks, that's really weird.

So since its correctly recording the power in logging, I'm assuming that 150 ERG is being correctly sent to the KICKR by the app...
And with Prefer Powermeter Watts off it shows nothing in the instant watts
And with Prefer Powermeter Watts on it shows 1/3 the actual instant watts?

That sums it up?

P2M

So since its correctly recording the power in logging, I'm assuming that 150 ERG is being correctly sent to the KICKR by the app...
# Yes 150 is being sent to the Kickr by the app (as demanded by ERG mode in session). Kickr is sitting on 150, verified separately by P2M and Edge500. Problem also replicated at multiple watt settings; always seems 1/3 of actual is displayed.

And with Prefer Powermeter Watts off it shows nothing in the instant watts
#It shows the 1/3 amount of what is actually being made. Cadence goes blank.

And with Prefer Powermeter Watts on it shows 1/3 the actual instant watts?
#Power from P2M displays correctly (instantaneous) and cadence displays correctly.

If I remove the P2M pairing; then the correct figures are displayed from the KIckr i.e. some conflict seems to exist between the two devices.

P2M support is in the next release. I'm emailing you directly to see if you would like to try a beta in the interim.
