Hello Ransom,

Issue #2 for the day.

During this weekend's first ride with IMI, I needed to start and stop the application a couple of times prior to actually beginning my ride. Once I began my ride, I continued riding for approximately 30 minutes, at which time I stopped riding to verify that a second cycle app (B.iCycle) was still running. After verifying that both apps were still running, I switched back to IMI (with B.iCycle running in the background on iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0.2), and chose the "Resume" option. At the end of my ride (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes), I pressed the "Done Workout" button, and after thinking for a minute or two, the app displayed a dialogue indicating "Workout reports sent!".

When I later logged into TrainingPeaks, I found two workouts for the day: one of 5.1 minutes duration and the other of 1.6 minutes duration. Unfortunately, there was no sign of my hour+ workout. Could this be related to the missing speed data that I mentioned in my last bug report? If so, why did the two short "workouts" show up, but not the longer workout?

upcoming enhancement

It seems likely that this loss of upload is due to a network connection timeout, probably resulting from a poor or dropped 3g connection. The forthcoming update of iMi will have enhancements to retain data for resubmission in the event of not getting a "success" callback from the server.

So when you say you had to start and stop the app a couple of times prior to beginning, this means that you were actually in the iMi workout, had clicked the play button and the clocks were running, and when you left you clicked "done workout". You should have seen "Workout Reports Sent" at that time, with the reports made for those short workouts you saw later. I'm not sure why you didn't get the report for the larger workout. I'll have to do some more testing on that.
