Hello Ransom,
I took the IMI app out for a first ride over the weekend. When using it with the Wahoo Fitness ANT+ dongle, HRM sensor, and speed & cadence sensor, the app displayed my heart rate and cadence fine, but the speed and distance were not being displayed on the IMI screen. At first I thought that the speed sensor may need some tweaking, but when I moved it so close to the wheel that the spoke magnet hit the sensor on each revolution, it was still not displaying speed. Since the speed and cadence are being transmitted from the same sensor, and the cadence is being displayed by IMI properly, it seems like the ANT+ transmitter in the sensor is fully operational. I further confirmed that the sensor was operating properly when I connected it to the Wahoo Fitness Sensor Utility and was able to see the speed reading from the sensor.
Not sure if this is just a display issue or if IMI is not receiving/recording the speed data under the hood. Do I need to setup the app in some way to get the speed sensor to work properly?
workaround
The workaround for this problem is to change the default wheel circumference in the Settings App. An upcoming release of iMi will resolve this issue.
Speed missing
Hmm, can't reproduce. You are using the GSC-10 Garmin combined speed/cadence sensor? That's my setup, and I've never had any troubles with cadence vs speed (other than, yes, not having the speed pickup close enough to the magnet). I don't believe there is any setup issue, as I've tested this successfully with no changes in the Settings app. When you view the speed/cadence sensor in the sensor iMi pairing screen, does it show "connected and paired" for your sensor and does it show any speed when you spin the wheel?
