How do I make the App control power to the Wahoo Kickr? I created a workout with one interval and enter 85% of FTP into the ERG field. I also entered a duration of 5min and a cadence of 90. When I download this workout into the App and begin there I cannot see an ERG/MAN button at the top of the screen as per screenshots by DC Rainmaker. I assume that I need to see this button in order for the App to control power on the Kickr?
Thanks Ransom. I cant find a REPLY link to respond to your advice, so doing it here.Turns out that the Kickr was not connected but that was not apparent to me as no connected devices icon like in the Wahoo Fitness App (Up the top you can see 1, 2 or 3 next to a little icon). My query was probably more a request for help than a bug, but you don't seem to have that possibility on this web site. Anyway thanks again.
KICKR control
Assuming that the KICKR is actually connected (it should show TNR NNN Connected on the start screen) and you don't see a picker wheel at the bottom of the controls overlay either, have you turned the pedals on the bike while looking at the workout on the bike? The app needs to register some power before it will show the segmented controller.
This is because since the KICKR is always on, I found that its common that the KICKR will get paired while you are starting your bike on normal ride leaving your house, if the KICKR is in range. We don't want the controls to appear in this case.
The control of the trainer is automatic in any case, though not seeing the ERG/MAN segmented control or the picker wheel after pedaling indicates something is wrong.
If the app is connected to the KICKR but is only in an open-ended workout, it should only show the resistance level picker wheel and not the ERG/MAN control, since there is no possibility of using ERG control. But that doesn't sound like the case here.
