App disconnects from Kickr during workout

The app & Kickr can become disconnected during my workout. This has been happening on my iPad since I started my winter training a few weeks ago.
I am running iOS 9.2, using the Wahoo dongle, with the Lightening adapter. Usually the disconnect manifests beyond 50% of the workout. I checked to see if my Kickr is running the most current firmware, and it apparently is. I have not had the issue on my iPhone with 9.2 with same dongle & lightening adapter.
Deleted the app and reinstalled off the Cloud with same results. Any input would be appreciated.
